I've listened to the album a few times and it's mind blowing stuff. Definitely your best work yet. Everything from lyrics, rhythm and the beats to compliment the message, it's all fire from start to finish. It's a journey that I am grateful to endeavour when I put on my headphones. The influence of Post-Metal titans of yore is undeniable on THÅRN, with the harsh vocals, recoiling riffing, thundering bass and long stretches of atmospheric introspection, though they're not simply regurgitating the Isis back catalogue either. They excel particularly when they allow shards of melancholy to shine through the dense metallic fog, as evidenced on the epic "Replacements", with it's minor key riffing and distant vocal refrain. As an opening salvo, this tape is promising.
